Tyler Rennix grew up with a mandolin in his hand, and has been adding instruments, material, and skills ever since. Growing up on Colorado's front range allowed him to get one-on-one instruction from many music greats. He was given sponsorship by a prestigious mandolin builder at age 15. In 2015 he won the coveted Rockygrass Mandolin Championship. Tyler has performed with numerous Colorado groups and is furthering his music career in performing and teaching on all fronts. Teaching is one of his favorite things, and facilitating learning for others is a joyous endeavor for him.

If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, or dobro... you can be part of a bluegrass jam.

Only requirements:

  • You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and
  • change smoothly between G, C, D, and A. (Fiddles and basses need to know which notes work with which chords)
